An AI answering service for plumbers, electricians and HVAC
When you're in a crawl space or up a ladder, the phone rings and you can't answer. The customer calls the next company on the list. An AI answering service picks up every call, in a natural voice, with your company name.
It starts by working out what kind of call it is, using your rules:
- Emergency: a burst pipe, no heat in January, water coming through a ceiling. It takes the address, reads out any safety steps you've approved (such as where to find the main water shut-off), and calls or texts your on-call tech at once. If anyone is in danger, it tells them to call 911.
- Booked work: a leaking tap, a new outlet, a furnace service. It checks the address is in your service area, offers times from the right tech's schedule and books the job.
- Quotes: a bathroom reno, a panel upgrade. It collects the details and photos, then books a site visit or an estimate call with you.
- Everything else: suppliers, job seekers, sales calls. It takes a message and keeps them off your phone.
It quotes only the prices you've put on its list, such as your call-out fee, and never prices custom work. Every call ends with a text to the customer and a short summary to you.
After hours, that sorting matters most. A dripping tap at 10 p.m. gets the first slot in the morning and a confirmation text. Your on-call tech's phone only rings for the calls you've said are worth waking up for.
Dispatch: the right tech in the right place
For a shop with more than one truck, booking is a puzzle: who has the skills, who's closest, who carries the right parts. An AI employee can keep that puzzle straight. It books each job onto the tech who fits it, texts the customer when the tech is on the way, and flags the rest of the day when a job runs long.
Your office sees it all on a simple dispatch board: every tech, every job and every status, with anything running late in red. Techs update by text or voice note, not by filling in forms in the truck.
After each job, the AI files the photos, parts used and notes against the customer's address. The next tech who visits sees the history before knocking, and warranty questions get answered from the record instead of from memory.

Book a callQuote follow-up and seasonal work
Many quotes go quiet not because the customer said no, but because nobody followed up. The AI keeps every open quote moving with a plan you set. For example:
| When | What the AI does |
|---|---|
| Day 2 | Asks if the customer has any questions about the quote. |
| Day 7 | Follows up with a short note and an easy way to book. |
| Day 21 | Sends a last friendly check-in, then marks the quote closed if there's no answer. |
| Any reply | Answers simple questions, and sends price talk or objections to you. |
You choose the timing and the wording.
It also handles the work that comes around every year: furnace tune-ups in the fall, AC checks in late spring, backflow tests, maintenance plan renewals. It reminds past customers at the right time and books them into your quieter weeks.
Reviews, site logs and paperwork for builders
Review requests. After each finished job, the AI texts the customer a thank-you and a link to leave a review, with one reminder if they don't. It drafts replies to new reviews in your voice for you to approve. It never offers anything in return for a review, since review sites don't allow that.
Site logs. For renovators and builders, a voice note and a few photos at the end of the day become a tidy daily log: who was on site, what got done, what's delayed and what materials are needed. The AI files it by project and flags anything that affects the schedule.
Subcontractors and change orders. It confirms subcontractor bookings by text the day before, chases anyone who hasn't confirmed, and drafts change-order paperwork from your notes for you and the client to sign.
Safety stays with your supervisor. The AI can remind the crew about a site meeting; it doesn't decide what's safe.
What stays with you, and how we start
The AI handles the calls and the paperwork. You keep the work that needs your trade: diagnosing the problem, pricing custom jobs, warranty calls, upset customers and anything about safety.
The first step is a free 30-minute call with our team. We'll ask how many calls you miss, how many quotes go quiet and how jobs get booked today, then send a written plan for one job with one clear price. For most small shops, missed calls are the best first job.
We work in person across Metro Vancouver, from Surrey and Langley to Burnaby and Vancouver. The phone side runs on our AI voice agents, in English, Punjabi, Hindi and the other languages your customers speak, and your office team can learn to run it all in a hands-on workshop.
