AI consulting for a city of tech, film and clinics
Burnaby's economy is broad, from tech and life sciences to film studios (Burnaby Board of Trade). Add BCIT's main campus, SFU up on Burnaby Mountain, and the shops and offices around Metrotown and Brentwood, and you get a city where software-savvy teams work next door to busy clinics and family shops.
That mix shapes how we work here. Tech teams usually want AI built properly and handed over to their own people. Clinics and shops want the phone answered and the paperwork done, without learning a new system. We do both, with one person from our team as your contact either way.
Tech, life sciences, clean tech and digital media
If you have engineers, you could build an AI agent yourselves. The reason to bring us in is time and experience. We already run 35 AI employees in our own company, so we've worked through the unglamorous parts: permissions, monitoring, what happens when an agent gets confused, and how a person stays in charge. Our Inspector checks every AI employee every 30 minutes; its report on 4 Sep 2026 read “All clear, previous issues resolved.”
Jobs we see most often for these teams:
- Support and sales inboxes, sorted, drafted and logged in the CRM by an AI employee.
- Reporting: weekly metrics, grant reports and investor updates drafted from live numbers.
- Lab, vendor and compliance paperwork: documents collected, checked and filed.
- Hiring admin: booking interviews and keeping candidates updated, with people making every hiring decision.
A typical first project for a research or clean tech team is the weekly report. Today someone spends Friday afternoon pulling numbers from three systems and writing them up. An AI employee can pull the same numbers on schedule, write the first draft, flag anything that moved more than expected, and leave it for the team lead to check and send.
We can build it for you or with your team, so your engineers own it afterwards. If you'd rather your people learn the pattern, a workshop for a tech team can go deeper than usual: building an agent with its tools, rules and logging, so they leave with something they can reuse.
For film and digital media studios, the useful AI is often the one tracking deliverables against deadlines and drafting the daily status note for producers. We make AI video ourselves, so we know the creative pipeline as well as the back office.

Book a callClinics, retail and services around Metrotown and Brentwood
Clinics. Dental, physio, chiropractic and medical offices lose bookings when the front desk is already on a call. An AI receptionist answers every call, books and reschedules in your calendar, and texts the intake form. For clinics with Mandarin- or Korean-speaking patients, the receptionist can answer in either language. Patient information needs extra care, so we agree on access, storage and consent rules with you before building. More on that in AI for dental and physio clinics.
Retail. Shops get the same questions all day: are you open, do you have it in stock, where's my order. A voice agent or WhatsApp assistant answers them, and an AI employee drafts replies to new reviews in your voice for your approval.
Services. Salons, tutoring centres, repair shops and other appointment businesses get round-the-clock booking, plus reminders that help cut no-shows. A simple owner dashboard can show bookings, gaps and reviews on one page each morning.
Mandarin and Korean on the phone, and a note on Cantonese
Mandarin and Cantonese are the most common non-official languages spoken at home in Burnaby (Statistics Canada, 2021 Census). Korean is part of daily business too, especially along North Road near Lougheed, on the Burnaby and Coquitlam border.
Here is what our live voice agents can and can't do today:
- Supported on live calls: Mandarin and Korean, plus English, Punjabi, Hindi, French and Filipino.
- Not supported on live calls: Cantonese. The real-time voice models we use don't offer it.
Cantonese-speaking callers are offered a callback from your staff, while the AI handles every other call.
On a Mandarin or Korean call, the agent answers in the caller's language, books or answers the question, and writes the summary in English for your staff, with the full transcript kept alongside. Accents and phone audio vary, so we try each language on your own call types before any customer hears it.
Working with Burnaby businesses
We meet you at your office, clinic or shop anywhere in Burnaby, from Brentwood and Metrotown to Edmonds and Lougheed. We're based in downtown Vancouver, a short SkyTrain ride away.
It starts with a free 30-minute call with our team, about one job: the one that costs your team the most hours. You get a written plan for that job, priced once and clearly. Good first jobs in Burnaby tend to be small and visible: answering the clinic phone, clearing the shared support inbox, or a one-page morning view of the numbers for the owner. For teams that want to build their own AI helpers, we run hands-on AI workshops in Burnaby at your office: everyone brings a real task and leaves with a helper that does part of it.
For our story and how we run on AI ourselves, see about Aitoflo. If you also operate south of the Fraser, our Surrey page covers trucking, trades and Punjabi-speaking callers.
